     The opportunity

Our client, a leader in CPG with operations across North America, is seeking a QA Supervisor to oversee daily quality operations and support a team of QA technicians at one of their state of the art facilities. In this role, you will ensure that products meet internal standards, customer expectations, and industry requirements while strengthening processes, documentation, and cross-functional alignment.

This is a dynamic environment with shifting priorities, requiring someone who is hands-on, decisive, and confident working across all areas of the facility.

Why this role?

You will directly influence the consistency, reliability, and quality of products delivered to customers. Your leadership will reinforce compliance, streamline processes, and embed quality as a shared responsibility across operations.

You will collaborate closely with teams in Operations, Maintenance, Planning, Procurement, and other functional areas, with visibility to site leadership. This role offers strong opportunities for skill development, process ownership, and progression into broader QA or operations leadership.

How you will make an impact:

  • Oversee daily QA operations. You will work on the production floor, operating and validating technical equipment, monitoring lines, conducting inspections, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. You will oversee the Dommers process, verifying raw material compliance before use. While this is a day-shift role, you will be on-call to support other shifts as needed.
  • Lead and develop the team. You will schedule and oversee QA technicians across all shifts, approve timecards, assign work, and ensure coverage. You will deliver onboarding and ongoing training, mentor team members, resolve conflicts, and champion continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and optimize standards. You will conduct tests and internal audits throughout production, complete required documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer expectations. You will address non-conformances, and develop or update SOPs to support consistent and compliant QA practices.
  • Drive cross-functional quality alignment. You will work closely with plant teams to identify issues, collaborate on corrective actions, and promote a culture where quality is everyone’s responsibility.

What you bring:

  • The experience. You are an experienced QA Supervisor or Lead with hands-on expertise working in a regulated environment. Experience with quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement practices is strongly valued.
  • The technical skills. You have strong knowledge of food manufacturing QA processes, including experience with Dommers, pest control programs, and standard testing methods.
  • The leadership skills. You have professional communication skills and prioritize fostering a collaborative environment. You remain calm under pressure and can make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. You have proven experience leading teams, managing schedules, and providing training and coaching. You can build trusting relationships, influence action and decisions, and resolve issues with professionalism and clarity.
  • The integrity and accountability. You are analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled in identifying gaps, root causes, and opportunities for improvement. You take initiative, work with urgency, and adapt easily to evolving priorities. You are comfortable partnering with both managers and production staff and can translate observations into effective SOPs.
