Head of Product
The opportunity
Our client, a growing organization in the Health Tech industry, is hiring a Head of Product.
In this leadership role, you will own the full product function – strategy, roadmap, and execution with a mandate to transform the business from a service-led model into a scalable, SaaS-enabled, AI-driven platform.
You will turn deep operational expertise into repeatable, revenue-generating products, including leading the development and scale of an AI-powered Billing Bot designed to automate core billing workflows (e.g., claims processing, reconciliation, or coding) and other automation initiatives that drive efficiency and customer value. You will provide direct leadership and mentorship to a Junior Product Manager, with the opportunity to build and scale the product team over time.
This is a highly visible and collaborative role, working closely with Operations, Engineering, AI, Sales, and Customer Success teams. You will shape product direction, influence pricing and packaging, and act as the senior product voice across the organization. This is a player-coach role, where you will operate hands-on in the near term while building the product function and team over time.
This is an existing, full-time opportunity with a hybrid model for candidates based in the GTA (two days per week in the Toronto office). We are also open to considering fully remote candidates within Canada.
What's in it for you?
Own a meaningful transformation. You will lead the shift from a service-led model to a scalable, SaaS and AI-enabled platform, building the foundation for long-term growth, improved margins, and reduced churn.
Operate with real authority. You will define product bets, set priorities, and influence pricing and packaging decisions, with clear ownership over product outcomes and business impact.
See your impact in real time. You will lead high-priority initiatives, including the AI Billing Bot and automation programs, that directly improve customer experience, streamline operations, and unlock productivity across the business.
Grow into executive leadership. As the company scales, your scope and influence will expand, with a clear path toward VP or Chief Product Officer-level leadership.
You will:
- Lead product transformation. Own end-to-end product strategy and execution, driving the transition from a service-led model to a scalable, SaaS-enabled platform. Translate billing and operational expertise into productized solutions that improve margins, reduce churn, and drive efficiency.
- Balance execution with strategy. Operate as a hands-on product leader while maintaining a clear, forward-looking roadmap, defining requirements, guiding delivery, and ensuring alignment between near-term execution and long-term strategy.
- Build and lead the team. Lead and mentor a growing product team, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement, while ensuring alignment across cross-functional partners.
- Drive operating rigor. Establish metrics, SLAs, and workflows that enable consistent, scalable execution. Leverage tools and systems to increase visibility, adoption, and delivery velocity.
- Partner to drive business impact. Collaborate with leadership to influence pricing, packaging, and growth strategy, while enabling teams to scale through better processes and technology.
What you bring:
- Product leadership and transformation experience. You’ve successfully taken SaaS products to market and driven adoption with measurable results. You bring experience leading service-to-SaaS or product transformation initiatives, with a strong grasp of product strategy, lifecycle management, and commercial impact. You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where it doesn’t yet exist.
- Strong communication and influence. You can translate complex operational needs into clear product direction and align stakeholders across functions and seniority levels. You build trust, communicate effectively, and influence decisions in complex environments.
- Team leadership. You’ve led small, high-impact teams and know how to coach, mentor, and drive performance. You foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing culture, while navigating ambiguity and change with confidence.
- Technical and analytical fluency. You’re comfortable with modern product tools and analytics platforms, and quick to adapt to new systems. You’ve leveraged technology, automation, or AI to drive efficiency, scalability, and improved product experiences.
