As part of their continued growth in Canada, they are looking for a Solution Architect to join their team. In this role you will lead multi-skilled Agile teams, designing and delivering high-quality solutions that delight customers and impact the lives of users worldwide. You will provide consultative guidance, working directly with customers to identify needs and solutions, and discuss the technical implications and complexity surrounding your designs. As a Manager, you will coach and develop a small number of staff, providing technical direction, sharing best practices, and introducing innovative tools and approaches.

This is a hybrid position based out of Halifax, NS.

How you will make an impact:

  • Design solutions. You will lead the collaborative design and communication for the architecture of robust and scalable software projects. You will prioritize non-functional concerns and ensure they are incorporated into the application design. You will be key in delivering solutions and making rapid decisions, leveraging the latest and most resilient technologies and approaches.
  • Lead Agile teams. You will assign, guide, and oversee the work of cross-functional teams, providing mentorship and technical expertise as needed. 
  • Foster a knowledge-sharing environment. You will channel your passion for staying current with technological advancements and best practices, sharing knowledge, guiding cross-functional teams, and leading technical work. You will encourage innovation and technical excellence.

What you bring:

  • Technical proficiency. You have proven success in delivering software designs for multi-tiered, modern software applications. You have experience incorporating non-functional concerns into application designs and leveraging public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including SaaS and PaaS offerings.
  • Leadership. You have a strong understanding of whole solution architecture concepts. You have the confidence and professional approach to negotiate designs with customer architects and effectively articulate technical concepts and choices. 
  • Team management. You have a demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and develop junior team members, assigning and overseeing work in an Agile environment. You can provide feedback, evaluate performance and lead career development discussions. 
  • Consulting skills. You have been accountable for large-scale technology delivery channels and end-to-end project management. You can set objectives, prioritize tasks, and manage timelines across multiple concurrent projects. You can confidently identify gaps and collaborate cross-functionally to recommend further solutions to expand engagement and develop the business.
